India made a clean win over the struggling Sri Lanka cricket team with a 9 wicket win. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan slammed his 11th hundred in the first ODI against Sri Lanka at Dambulla. Dhawan reached his century mark in just 71 balls,132 (not out 21-4s, 3-6s).
Sri Lanka suffered from the Indian spinners and restricted to 216 in 43.2 overs. Niroshan Dickwella 64 and Anjelo Mathews 36 not out were the major contributors to their innings. At one stage Sri Lanka were 139 for one wicket.
Later India went on to score 220 for the lose of one wicket in 28.5 overs (21.1 overs spare). Indian Captain Virat Kohli was unbeaten with 82 runs from 70 balls in the Indian innings.
So India is one up in the 5 ODI in Sri Lanka series.
After the match some of the Sri Lanka fans were found to be in the ground and shouting against the lose of the match.
This made the Sri Lanka team’s departure delayed by around 30 minutes.
