Sri Lanka to Get High Speed Internet through Google Balloons.

Sri Lanka Government and Google Inc officials made a historical agreement to provide internet facility covering the whole island through their floating balloons. These balloons ill stay at a height of 20,000 ft and are powered by the solar power. This balloons are not visible to human eyes from that height.

This project is the first one in this region and it was tested in Ne Zealand in the year 2013.

Then it became the first country in South Asia to roll out a 3G network in 2004. And then in 2013 it was the first country in this region to unveil a 4G LTE network.

There are 20 million people in this island where 3.2 million have the Wi-Fi and fixed internet facility. As pr the Sri Lanka officials once the balloons are up an start to run the service local internet service provides can access this high speed internet service at reduced operational cost and can provide it all around Sri Lanka at affordable price.
