More U.S troops to Syria

Additional 400 troops to Syria were sent by the United States to support the fight for Raqqa, which is the the capital of the Islamic State’s self-proclaimed caliphate..

This will include Army Rangers and artillery unit of Marines. The soldiers have already arrived in Syria. So now the number American troops there to be around 800 in numbers along with their advanced attack weapons and fire power .

US military officials didn’t put out how many troops had been deployed in Syria fields. Normal formal troop cap is placed as 503, but U.S commanders have the authority to temporarily exceed that limit, if it is necessary.

The Rangers’ were seen by people driving around the northern Syrian town of Manbij in Stryker vehicles and armored Humvees. Earlier the Washington Post had reported about the deployment of the Marine artillery battery, in Syria.
“We are preparing logistical and fire support to enable a successful assault on Raqqa, the self-proclaimed capital of ISIS,” said Col. John L. Dorrian, a spokesman for the American-led command that is fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
